I want to thank the citizens of the City of Satsuma for reelecting me to the City Council. Once again, I have been given the responsibility of working with the Public Works Department. It is my pleasure to work with James Elmore and the rest of the department. During this term, I intend to continue looking for ways to make our community better.
The city has a chipper truck and a vacuum truck to help residents with their clean up needs. The vacuum truck will not be running until October. Therefore all grass clippings should be placed in your garbage cart or bagged. Leave and grass clippings can cause a ditch to backup and with the hurricane season approaching, we ask that you refrain from putting leaves or grass clippings in the ditches. We are asking that you be mindful that we service all the residents and we assure you that we will assist your needs as quickly as possible.
