NOTICE TO RESIDENTS In order to defray the increased cost and expense of operating and disposing of garbage, rubbish and trash in the City, the City Council voted to amend the existing rate schedule for collections, handling and disposal of garbage rubbish and trash.  Effective October 1, 2017 the residential rate will be $22.50 for the first cart and 12.25 for any additional carts.  The commercial rate will be $33.00 for one cart and $16.50 for each additional cart. Residents who are 65 or older and have the water service currently in their name may be exempt from this increase.    An application (see link below) will need to be  completed and  either  mailed to P.O. Box 517, Satsuma, AL  36572 or returned in person to City Hall.  Applications can also be picked up at City Hall.  Once verification has been made, the water board will be notified and the account will be adjusted.  If you have any questions, please contact City Hall at (251) 675- 1440.
2017 Satsuma Christmas Parade Saturday, Dec. 2 at 11 am
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE The Satsuma Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on November 2, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. at City Hall to hear public comments regarding amending Sections 3-4-2, 3-4-5, 4-3-9 and 12-1 of the Satsuma Subdivision Regulations all regarding changing the procedures for the setting of a public hearings.  If you have any questions prior to the public hearing, please contact Tom Briand at Satsuma City Hall (675-1440).
.Parents that have lost a loved one have started a group that will start meeting the 2nd and 4th Thursday night at 6:00 p.m.  This meeting will be at the Community Center.  Contact person Linda Green at 251 679-9147. 
Medicare Information Meeting The South Alabama Regional Planning Commission will provide valuable information for Medicare Open Enrollment on Wednesday, Nov. 15th 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Satsuma Public Library.
